Rosalba Breazeale was born in 1989 in Lima Peru. At the age of 3 months, she was adopted and raised first in Knoxville, Tennessee and then Portland, Maine. In May 2017, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She previously attended Hofstra University on Long Island and the University of Southern Maine with a focus in Psychology. Breazeale has already been shown in various group exhibitions post-graduation including Electron Salon at the Los Angeles Center for Digital Arts and Natural Instincts in Hartford, Connecticut curated by Goldie Gross and the Jewish Salon. She has done commissioned work for companies such as Elmspring and Go Grocer in Chicago, Illinois, as well as private events and art documentation in Maine. In January of 2017, she traveled to Peru to research her indigenous heritage for Interwoven Legacies, an ongoing body work about being a contemporary indigenous person in the United States. Breazeale currently lives and works in Chicago, Illinois.
